The EMG-JV was a part of EMG's 1993 renaissance visit to the 'retro' vault. The JV uses a mixture of the old, new, and late model design ideas. The interface: original 'offset' Alnico 5 pole pieces. The coils come from the EMG-J design, while the preamp is the newer ultra-low noise (>-100db) design adapted for bass from the EMG-SV.
